Job Description:
The Central Station Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of workers providing telephone customer support services. This role will be responsible to oversee the dispatch operators working their shift. The ideal candidate will successfully provide leadership with the following skills: problem-solving, communication proficiency, and time management.
The Central Station Supervisor will work closely with leaders from Management, Trainers and provide a great experience for our customers/clients.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers providing telephone customer support services
- Places necessary outgoing/incoming calls to verify an alarm, dispatch the proper authorities, and notify responsible parties.
- Needs the ability to remain calm and speak clearly to customers.
- Properly document all responses for the alarm/phone calls within the alarm monitoring software via computer.
- Manage large amounts of inbound alarms in a timely manner.
- Helps to identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
- Brainstorm with the team to come up with ideas to resolve problems to better serve the customer and/or improve productivity.
- Monitors productivity of Central Station operators by tracking and running reports, stats and break times.
- Answers questions about policies & procedures and recommends corrective services to address customer complaints.
- Make seating chart and record the comings and goings of operators.
- Monitors productivity Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelor’s preferred.
- Must have between 3-5 years of experience in a Central Station environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must have clean background to obtain industry-required Alarm Registrant Permit.
